To make sure we have also a “normal” bank account (we’ve used the modern Holvi and Transferwise, but there are times they don’t work), proposing to set up a new bank account. This will not be our main account, but will be used when other accounts not usable, and for example for storing some cash reserve.

I am working with Jogi for the Vake MyData Accelerator in Finland. Our aim is to bring the Design & User dimension to the core of the solutions the participating companies are developing. In an effort to give useful tools to implement MyData principles, I have started to draft a 'MyData Design Checklist'. This is the very first rough draft, and I would be very thankful for any feedback. And if you have worked on something similar, please do share your experiences.
Google and Facebook are backers of the Contract for the Web, which lists privacy as a core principle. But the companies continue to slurp up user data.
This is a network we could look into. @Iain added: That group is led by Mei Lin Fung (based in California) and is already engaged with Project VRM and Me2B.
I have always found this video about self tracking very well done as it also addresses privacy implications for individuals and society coming from this practice besides highlighting the opportunities.
You’ve heard of Web 2.0 and perhaps even the Web 3.0 that browser maker Opera loves talking about. But have you ever heard of Society 5.0, much less the previous versions that came before it?
From MyData ideology to practice of self-sovereign identity.
I did some quick data-crunching yesterday on the election data, you can find it in the attached excel.

Medical data are considered particularly sensitive personal information. Laws and regulations in most countries, including the USA and throughout Europe, generally aim to restrict sharing such information with the target of building privacy walls around each person’s data. But making such health data available more broadly is key to improved medical care, research and the advance of health science. Finland is the first country known to have adopted an approach to allow third parties to access health data for the purposes of scientific research, drug and health technology development and knowledge-based management in social and health care.
The European Data Protection Board welcomes comments on the Guidelines 4/2019 on Article 25 Data Protection by Design and by Default.
Sir Tim was much in the news over the weekend, and it prompts me to ask if there's any formal connection between MyData and his contractfortheweb.org? @Iain mentioned that not all organizations are happy to endorse the contract and @Henrik Biering referred to an earlier discussion on Slack.
I think some combination of the board, the steering group and the GM should aim to get three structured tracks going for Request for Comments, Call for Proposals and MyData Enhancement Proposals. This of course mirrors in process the way many technical communities structure themselves, with the hope of tapping more effectively into the diverse skills of the community, without having to “ask for permission”.
A startup that “helps you collect, summarize, and share your medical records digitally”, focusing on cancer patients. Just be aware that one investor is Google/Alphabet’s Verily which says it “develops tools and devices to collect, organize and activate health data”.
This week the results from the leadership elections where announced. The November MyData monthly newsletter is out. In Seoul the MyData 2019 conference organised by Korea Data Agency and Ministry of Science and ICT took place. And @Casandra started to prepare an article for the European Medical Writers Association.
